Steel City Wood Type
Sometimes the best stuff is right in your own backyard. This was the case last night when we uncovered these fantastic fonts of type from the helpful and friendly folks at Triangle Poster Co. here in Pittsburgh.

This beautiful gothic shadow is big, chunky, and has killer punctuation marks.

This condensed Mansard face is one of the finest we’ve been able to find. Not shown in any specimen book we have at our disposal, it is unbelievably complete with uppercase, lowercase, figures, punctuation, and a full set of ligatures! (Update: our good friend David Wolske informed us that it is French Octagon from theĀ Morgans & Wilcox Mfg. Co.)

This quirky serif face is listed in Hamilton’s 1907 catalog as Columbus. How about that “O”?
